Day 1 - Auckland

Theresa - Driving was quite an adventure! We had to laugh as we got our tiny little red Ford Focus. Clint had to do a test drive around the parking lot a few times to make sure he adjusted to driving on the left! We had many laughs as we constantly kept looking behind us when we would make a right turn and realized that traffic would be coming in FRONT of us, not behind us! Guess it's a good thing we didn't get our campervan right away! We'll get our feet wet first with this car! When I drove, I kept constantly telling myself to

HUG TO THE LEFT!
It was only 7am in Auckland, so it was too early to check into our hotel. So we walked around downtown and watched the sun come up over the city. We visited the Harbor, saw Skycity Tower, and went to the open air market. Later that afternoon we took a ferry boat tour of the city and saw the Harbour Bridge. After a harbourside "dinner" (at 3pm) of some local seafood, the jet lag got the better of us and we were fast asleep by 6pm!
