Day 17-18: Grand Canyon & Bearizona

We wanted to do the North side of the Grand Canyon since we have already done the south a few years ago. However, the North rim was still closed due to snow. Since the RV was still in the shop, we decided to do an overnight trip and rented a car to drive from Phoenix to Grand Canyon. Theresa joked that her vehicles have been shrinking each day...RV to Denali SUV to a compact Hyundai!

Grand Canyon is so breathtaking no matter how many times you see it! We hiked the South rim to the geology Museum. We saw a condor take off from the rim. We drove to the eastern edge (Lipan Point) to watch the sun set over the canyon. We even saw a moose grazing at one of the vista points!

We were spending the night in Flagstaff.

The next morning we woke up and decided to take Ariadne to Bearizona, a drive-thru wildlife park. We drove through the first part of the park and saw wolves, bears, sheep, and bison. We saw a bird show and then walked through the rest of the park. Ariadne liked seeing the porcupine the best.

Returning to Phoenix, Theresa and Ariadne dropped Clint off to pick up the RV while they headed to the grocery store to load up the RV with food.
