Day 16: Maricopa County Fair

Serendipity happened to be on our side. Clint went out to take our bikes off before we took the RV for service and noticed that coolant was leaking onto the Cordners' driveway! Frustrated, but grateful this happened here and not when we were in some random RV resort, we added fix coolant to the list!

After dropping off the RV, Ariadne saw a Ferris wheel in the distance and asked if we could stop at the fair. Theresa had been trying to decide if they should make a detour before Joshua Tree and go to Anehiem to do Disneyland. When Ariadne spotted the fair, the decision was easily made. Do the fair (which would be much cheaper and less crowded) and stay on course! Theresa called it a Disney knockoff! :) Two hours later we left the fair with a big smile on Ariadne's face and funnel cakes in our belly!

We stopped at In N Out burger for a late lunch (yes, we're obsessed with this place) before heading back to the Cordners' for the evening.

We love our cross country trip, but we have to admit it was nice to be in a house for a few days. We had ample space to shower, sleep, make dinner, and eat!
