Day 3: Hanauma Bay, Oahu -> Kauai

Our last day in Oahu before we caught a 2PM flight to our next island: Kauai. We got up early and headed to Hanauma Bay, supposedly the best snorkel place in Hawaii. Hanauma Bay is now also a nature preserve, so there is an education center at the top of the crater which is where you park and enter. The view at the top of the crater was amazing. Looking down you could see the beautiful blue waters and the reef areas.

Snorkeling was very easy and the fish were so used to people that they didn't even swim away. All you had to do was stick your face underwater and there they were. We floated above the coral to see fish feeding and hiding. We utilized  our waterproof camera case to get some underwater shots!

We cleaned up, checked out, and headed to the airport. After the 20 minute flight, we got our convertible, went shopping for supplies, and picked up our camping gear for later in the week. We grabbed some dinner at The Olympic Cafe, including the Kauai Pie, before staying in Princeville on the north shore for the night.
