Departure Day at the Outer Banks. We had planned on one last stop in South Carolina on the way home, but, with the windshield, etc. we just decided against it. We had to pack up the RV one last time and head home with our broken windshield. Ariadne road home with her grandparents so Theresa got to sit shotgun for the first time. The journey was fairly uneventful and we made it home before dark with no major issues.
Like all great journeys, this one ends too soon despite being 106 days long, but we knew we'd have to go home eventually.
In this case, it's a new home than the one we left. Technically, a "new old" home since it's the original house Theresa and Clint bought when they got married and have been renting out while we lived in Atlanta. We'll still be at the Lynwood house a good bit over the next week since we close on it in about a week. In addition, we need to figure out how to get the windshield fixed, get the coach cleaned up, stored somewhere other than our driveway, and, finally, sold. Oh yeah, Theresa and Ariadne start school in a few weeks too. Hungry Pinky Pie was good to us this summer, but we won't be able to use her like we need to to keep her in the future. Maybe a smaller RV is in the plan down the line. :D
Thanks for reading. Until our next adventure...
