Day 102-105: Outer Banks

Over 100 days into our journey and it's hard to believe it's coming to an end. Our final stop was in the Outer Banks of North Carolina for some relaxation with Clint's parents. We had rented a house a block off the beach in Nags Head and it could accommodate the RV in the driveway:

We spent a full day at the beach and pool, where the it was great catching up with family. Clint's parents definitely missed their granddaughter and quickly resumed spoiling her rotten. Ariadne has talked about her aspiring mini golf career and told her grandparents they had to take her so we spent the next morning playing mini golf. Later in the afternoon, some strong thunderstorms swept in and we had to stay in the house, even moving down to the bottom level when tornadoes were spotted just off the coast.

Our final day was rainy, but we made it to The Wright Brother National Memorial in Kitty Hawk. It was interesting to see the memorial and the sight of the first manned flight, including 4 markers for their first 4 flights and how far they went. As an added surprise, Ariadne got one more Jr. Ranger badge!
Tomorrow, we head back to Georgia...
