Clint - The title pretty much says it all: it was a long day of travel. We woke up and got packed up in Sydney before heading for the airport. Our flight was at 1:00pm, but it was international so we didn't think trying to squeeze in another activity was smart. As some of you know, we do not like getting to the airport early. If we're not running through the terminals, then we arrived too early. So, this was probably the earliest we've ever arrived to an airport. Then we found our flight was delayed (that's what I get for bragging on Qantas; though technically this flight was operated by Air Pacific) so we had 3 hours to kill in Sydney airport. Luckily, it is quite nice and it even had Wimbledon on some of the TVs so we got our first view of the Championships. Glad to hear the Americans and Fed are doing well.
After a 4 hour flight, over an hour in Customs, an hour waiting for bags, 2 hour time change, and then an hour ride to the resort, we were wiped and it was after 11 local time. Our unique bure was a splendid sight to see. It's a thatched roof villa that we have all to ourselves. Below is a look at the inside and from above (ours is the 3rd from the bottom).
